Baltic Bastian started dj-ing in the field over 8 years ago with residencies in The Hague and Amsterdam, such as Club eau (Marathon) & club the One. In those years he has performed along many big Dutch stars & dj's in lots of different disciplines, such as dj Shapeshifter, Jose, Jean, Black Sun Empire, Misja Helsloot, Francesco Pico, but also artists like Blof, Lange Frans & Baas B, Do, Alain Clark & many, many more. After that he decided to take a break and graduated in 2009 at the dance music label Selekted Music, with the assignment to get Chuckie in the DJ MAG Top 100, in which Chuckie ended up at place 72, surprising the world and a mission accomplished for Bastian. After that Baltic Bastian (Bastiaan van der Salm) became the producer of 3FM's dance program "The Sense Of Dance" for Omroepvereniging BNN, working hard behind the scenes, putting together the show with Ajouad, mixing the tracks together, working with music on a fulltime base. Bastiaan is known for his fresh, fast switching and danceable music, always different, always with a "byte".
